Boise Valley Fly

Dear Members and Friends,

Well another summer winds down. This one seemed a bit short with June starting out so cold.  The cooler weather and copious water has made for some great fishing in July and August however.  Our local waters have been more than accommodating this year with lots of insects and willing fish.  It was great to spend several wonderful afternoons on the river with my father, and several of you  over the past 3 months.

  Giving back some of this magic that we enjoy when on the water is one of our main missions as a fly fishing organization. It takes a little soul searching each year to refine that mission. Our Board of directors has again decided to make the Western Idaho Fly Fishing Expo our major focus in fulfilling this cause.

  This year we will be having the show in January at the Idaho Expo with the ability now of having a casting program. We hope this will give the event a broader attraction to the public. It is going to a lot of fun and still leaves plenty of time to get out in Feb/March for steelhead and late winter trout fishing. We need everyone to be involved. Give me a call if you have any ideas.
